Model ASIV Thermostatic Isolation Valves

Description

The ASIV can reduce energy waste, lower maintenance costs and save space. A versatile workhorse, the Armstrong Ambient Sensing Isolation Valve (ASIV) is used in a wide variety of applications, ranging from on/off control of steam, air, gas or liquids to controlling heated drum heater enclosures and unit heaters.

At any chosen set point from 30°F (-1°C) to 140°F (60°C), these valves can economically automate a system in response to ambient temperature. NPT piping connections allow easy connection to any configuration and can provide large flow capacity.

A thermal element, which is physically isolated from the valve, opens or closes the valve with a 5°F to 10°F (-15°C to -12°C) differential to control the flow of a liquid, gas or steam based on ambient temperature. The ASIV can control up to 400 feet (122 m) of 1/2″ tracer line.
